After 25 years in the commercial art field as a designer/illustrator and

and his wife and two sons owned and operated a print shop there which
allowed him to work at his art part-time.
Before his move to the southwest, in 1992, Ron was represented in
a Santa Fe gallery. His paintings and limited edition prints are among
corporate and private collections throughout the U.S., England, and
Australia.
Ron’s love of the American West and the American Cowboy was
instilled in him by his dad, Oren, born in 1909 and raised in eastern
Kansas and northwest Oklahoma in the 20’s and 30’s. He said his dad
learned to plow behind a horse and rode one to school. In the late 40’s
Oren had a 15 minute radio show on KFBI in Wichita. In the early 50’s he
had a Western band that played Saturday night dances in small rural towns
in eastern Kansas.
Ron is now enjoying working full time on his art in his home/studio in
Santa Fe, modeling for the Santa Fe Photo Workshop and working as an
extra in some of the movies filmed in the area. You can see Ron’s work at
his home studio. Call for an appointment.
