Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my inspiration. I am a husband, stay at home father of beautiful daughters and a professional artist. I have been an artist all my life, drawing with whatever I got my hands on. I am self-taught in all aspects in what I do, driving by the curiosity of the outcome. I think this is very important for the public to know, due to current economical times, it is important for a client to know what they are getting for their money. You take a test drive before you buy a car, why not know all you can about an artist, and their inspiration?
I am the creator of my own unique style, and very fortunate to have been given this opportunity to stand alone in my own category, thus, creating value to my art and subsequently making me a good investment. I traveled all over the country in my youth and perhaps this is how I became fascinated with the beauty and history of the countryside I use in my art. My favorite places to live as a kid were Ft. Sill, OK and Ft.Hood, Texas, because of the "Wild West" history they preserved. My mom is also an artist, began silk-screening early in the 70's, pulling poster edition of "psychedelic" art-way to go mom! I thought I had a wild imagination! So it is easy for me to assume I know where I got my interest in vivid color.
After moving from college at UW-River Falls, I moved back to Texas, choosing Austin as my new home. This was in the mid-eighties, and what a great time! Austin was alive with Stevie Ray Vaughn and an art boom! I was introduced to my first art gallery then, El Taller Gallery, and my work was overwhelmingly successful. I am still represented by El Taller Gallery, as well as 14 other galleries across the nation including my own. Today, I am an award-winning artist and I continue to be invited into very honorable opportunities. Without my patrons, I am nothing.
I currently live in Taos, New Mexico, and love the dry climate, big open skies and the color and flavor that only the west can provide, food for the soul.
Thanks

★★★★★

The art is gorgeous, especially the lamps and chandeliers. There is also a gift shop where you can buy hematite rings and other cool stuff, and while you're there, grab a soda or some coffee.

This isn't just some machine made piece of glass packaged in a factory, it is actually made by an Artist, by hand, in the Studio of their Gallery. There were a lot of color options to choose from too, it was hard to decide but I'm definitely pleased with my choice. No regrets! That is something else I loved about this, I was supporting a small business and an Artist and not some big company that could care less about me. I am all about supporting the Arts, small businesses, and anything local so this was very cool, a good find. Altogether I am very happy with my new Pendants and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for something different, artistic, and unique! :)"
